Archives

The archives of the Society for Universal Sacred Music currently include the works of nearly fifty composers who have participated in our programs and whose music has been performed at our concerts and festivals over the years. A collection of archival editions of the scores representing this body of work is maintained at our offices.

As the number of new works of universal sacred music continues to grow, we are currently undertaking an effort to expand our in-house archives to help increase awareness of our mission and help composers and their works become better known and more accessible worldwide. To this end we are preparing a digital repository of these works. The scores and recordings of the performances will be catalogued and preserved, and made available as a resource for those interested in participating in the work of the Society. In doing so, the archive will provide key access points to works of universal sacred music worldwide.

Music directors interested in performing these works should contact our Archivist/Music Librarian, Chris Farrell at archivist@susm.org. Shortly we will have a mechanism in place for previewing online. New works of universal sacred music will be added to the archives on an ongoing basis.
